I’ve been waiting for something new from this woman for a while now. Well I guess good things come to those who wait. I’m really liking this song and the video is cute. Especially the throwback party looking like the movie House Party. Love the dance off and cameos from Doug E. Fresh, Peppa, Kwame, and I think that’s Pete Rock. I’m just glad that in the end she is smart enough to get rid of the loser. Missy Elliot + Jazmine Sullivan = Hotness!
The other night me and the honey stopped by Barnes and Noble to chill for a bit. I could spend hours in that place. Tons of material to keep you busy plus the beautiful sound of the espresso machine. My little slice of heaven. Well we had been out and I had to go to the bathroom. I dread going to the bathroom in public. The idea of using a toilet that has been used by thousands really grosses me out. On my way to the bathroom, a lady was having a similar argument with her boyfriend. He didn’t understand the big deal. She gave him the death look. Men will never understand, because for them it’s quite simple. It’s a 2 minute process and most of the time they don’t have to search for seat covers or toilet paper. I’ve gotten better over the years, but never look forward to touching those disgusting doors and seeing women leave without washing their hands. One of those facts of life that I could do without!
I’ve had the pleasure of having these this summer. Refreshing and delicious. So easy to make. You can practically use any fruit you want. I love to experiment with different combinations. Now that summer’s over and my mango tree is empty, I’m force to go back to strawberry and blueberry smoothies. If you haven’t had one, you’re missing out.
Nine years ago today, I was putting highlights in my sister’s hair when we heard on the news that Aaliyah died in a plane crash. I just knew that couldn’t be the case, but unfortunately, they were right. I was a huge fan from the beginning. At Your Best was my jam. Her voice was just so smooth and let’s not forget the moves. Everyone thought they could dance like her. Even though it’s hard to pick, I have to say that One In A Million is my favorite song. What’s your favorite Aaliyah song?
For those of you that experienced Hurricane Andrew 18 years ago, you can agree that no matter what kind of crappy day you have today, it won’t compare to that day. I will never forget the sounds, the feeling of fear and helplessness that I experience this day 18 years ago. Complete devastation and the long journey back to familiarity. I welcome the extreme heat and possibility of rain today. It could be so much worse…
