Flashback Friday-Hey Baby
Friday, January 28th, 2011I liked this song the minute I heard it! Listening to it now brings back such great memories. Life was just about having a good time. My sister bought this album for me (thanks Tasha) and I couldn’t stop listening to Hey Baby, Underneath It All, and Hella Good. Talk about a great album for a road trip! All the boys get the girls in the back!
Kontrol Magazine & Brandy
Thursday, January 27th, 2011Our Kontrol Mag family has definitely been putting in some work. The latest issue features Brandy and I have to say the spread is HOT (awesome job Julian)! Brandy has come a long way from Sitting Up In My Room (which used to my favorite) and those braids (I used to think she really didn’t have any hair). Some poses capture weird expressions with her eyes and mouth, but most photo spreads look a little crazy like that to me (maybe I don’t get the whole art aspect of photography). What do you guys think? Dangerously Beautiful worthy?
Oh yesss!

B dot Oh yesss, that is.
Hailing from Rancho Cucamonga, California Ms. Brittani Dominique Smith dons the moniker B dot Oh yesss to begin blazing her trail across the hip hop matrix. She is an artist as well as songwriter of “The U” production team They say her delivery has lead to her being bestowed with the nick name of the female Wayne, but I say let’s let this budding artist make and following her own path independent of industry comparisons.
Check out the audio for her latest scorching track over the 6’7″ instrumental after the jump.
Where’s The Beef Taco Bell?
Wednesday, January 26th, 2011
It’s no surprise to me that Taco Bell doesn’t use 100% beef. I mean come on, they have things that cost 79 cents (and that used to be 59 cents). But I have to admit that I was surprised to find out that the “Taco Meat Filling” contains a mere 36% beef. I know that there are tons of Taco Bell lovers out there, but that’s pretty disgusting. I love tacos. So much that I could eat them every day, but there’s just no way I’m eating at Taco Bell. An Alabama law firm is presenting a class action lawsuit for false advertising, saying that the fake Mexican food maker should label their processed mystery filling for what it is and stop calling it beef. I can see the commercials now…All-New Double Decker with Two Times More Taco Meat Filling! Doesn’t quite have the same ring to it, but at least it would be true.

Monday, January 24th, 2011Flashback Friday-Mary Jane Shoes
Friday, January 21st, 2011I think every woman had a pair of these as a little girl. I remember my black patent leather Mary Jane shoes that I wore with those cute socks with ribbon and bows. They were my “dressy” shoes and I loved them so much. I guess you can say they were the beginning of my shoe addiction! I still love Mary Jane’s and they have been revamped to be kick ass heels or timeless classics.
Oh Land
Thursday, January 20th, 2011Let me start off by saying this isn’t typical “Latrice” music, but I can’t stop listening to Oh Land. I love to find new music and I came across this artist on Pandora (where would I be without my beloved Pandora). Then I researched a bit further and found more songs and they are all awesome. Her voice is beautiful and really allows me to mellow out. She does weird stuff in videos, but have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror when the music gets to you… I look pretty crazy too! Let me know what you think. I picked two of my favs so far, but there’s more out there if you’re interested.
