Flashback Friday

I don’t know why, but I’m in such a Jay-Z mood today. This song reminds me of my honey, because he knows all the lyrics and then pretends he’s Jay while rhyming! Hilarious. I love Chrisette Michele on the chorus! I wish you all a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend!  “Time dont go back it goes forward, Can’t run from the pain go towards it.”

This really cracks me up! This is really how males are! Some just don’t get the message. The stresses Dangerously Beautiful women have to go through even early on in life. Pretty funny though! Happy Hump Day DB!

Dangerously Beautiful Whitney Houston

Monday, May 21st, 2012

I’m not a huge a fan of award shows, so I have to catch the performances after the fact. When I read that Whitney Houston (a true definition of a Dangerously Beautiful woman) received the Millenium award at The Billboard Awards (she sooo should have gotten that one a long time ago), I had to see who did the tribute. Can we say awesome performance?!?!?! Like a big ole sap, I cried a bit! I love John Legend’s voice. It’s just so polished and pure. And the fact that he sang one of my favorite Whitney songs was the icing on the cake. There are some cassette tapes somewhere of me singing The Greatest Love Of All with all my might.

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical on Jordin Sparks singing I Will Always Love You, but she did her thing. I like the way she didn’t try to be exactly like Whitney and stayed in her range. (Also gotta say that I loved her dress!!!) Bobbi Kristina reminded me so much of Whitney. Very poised, articulate, and Dangerously Beautiful. Her mother is probably extremely proud of her. I agree that there will never be another Whitney Houston.

For all the basketball fans watching the playoffs, this is still my favorite. I don’t have much patience to watch nowadays, but when Michael Jordan used to play, it was magic! Happy Friday DB!
