Find Your Love-Drake

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

When I heard this song on the radio, I was like what kinda crap are they playing now a days. I was even more surprised when I heard them say it was the new Drake. I thought to myself, oh no, he’s really been hanging around Kanye too long. I hope this isn’t another 808s and Heartbreak album. (some songs eventually grew on me, but not something I can play over and over again like College Dropout.) Anyhow, the video has been released for Find Your Love and I have to say that I feel a bit different about the song. No, I’m not super in love with the tune, but I can vibe to it a bit. It’s just not a song for me to listen to in the car. I like the video even though I feel I may need a translator at parts (Brown Boy – cracks me up) And the ending…. What the hell happened. Guess it makes up for Best I Ever Had vid. What are your thoughts?

Drake-Over

I freakin love this song.  Very passionate.  One of those songs where he isn’t being cocky, just confident.  The video is pretty cool too. Much better than the disappointing Best I Ever Had… (but I still can’t get enough of that song!) I’ve been really feeling Drake’s style and look forward to his album. Even though I think of his mixtape as an album. Can you see? Can you see? Get your Visine on. What are your thoughts?

Say Something

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

I know that everywhere you go, there’s Drake right now.  On the TV, the radio, blasting in someone’s car while  driving down the street, everywhere.  I must say that I am a Drake fan myself.  It’s pretty hard not to be.  He talks about love (which is great), being successful and he has the best hooks!  I can’t even pretend that I am rapper because I have no flow, but at least with his songs I can sing the hook.

Mix that with Timbaland’s amazing beats and you get my current fave Say Something.  I’ve been a fan of Timbaland since 1998, and he hasn’t disappointed me yet. Even when he tries new things, I can dig it.  This is just another one of the vibing out songs.  Let me know what you think.
